Between 27-29 June 2008 was held near Baia Mare, the 6th edition of the Cross-Contry Rally - Baja International Cup. Organizers were the Ranedo Foundation from Baia Mare (Romania) and Premier Motorsport Klub from Budapest (Hungary).

 

The event is a competition for 4x4 cars, quads and bikes. This year the route was over 800 kilometers in a beautiful mountain area, with half of it special stages.

 

The terrain is very tough, rocky forest roads, sometimes with plenty of mud also. Mainly this was the place of the first Dakar Series - Central Europe Rally in April 2008.
